Karim talks Diversification with the Couva/Point Lisas Chamber

On Wednesday June 3rd 2015, Senator the Honourable Fazal Karim, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training met with members of the Couva/Point Lisas Chamber of Commerce (CPCC), Camden Road, Couva to discuss the importance of economic and commercial development within the Central region. Speaking during the Breakfast Seminar, Minister Karim outlined the diversification elements in the Couva/Point Lisas area and its contribution towards national development. He said, “UTT Point Lisas is known as the Energy Campus and will soon establish its first solar panel house. Those grounds, were once a Bagasse Plant under Caroni 1975 Limited and was transformed into the National Energy Skills Center (NESC)

Karim plants tree in observance of Corpus Christi
