COSTAATT Main Campus to Support Central Growth Pole

The new state-of-the-art multipurpose campus being built by the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT) will be earmarked to support the central growth pole which spans the areas of Charlieville, Chaguanas, Carapichaima and Couva. So stated Senator the Honourable Fazal Karim, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training who delivered the feature address at the sealing of COSTAATT’s time capsule at Pierre-Connector Road, Chaguanas on Wednesday May 20th, 2015 where the main campus will be constructed.

Karim: COSTAATT’s “Studio on Wheels” to become reality

On Monday May 4th 2015 Senator the Honourable, Fazal Karim, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training delivered the opening remarks at COSTAATT’s World Press Freedom Day Symposium held at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port of Spain and called on the institution, particularly the Ken Gordon School of Journalism and Communication Studies, to reach out to the student population using a mobile training facility aptly called “COSTAATT Studio on Wheels.” The mobile facility will be designed in such a way so that students can reach audiences with built-in features allowing live reports from anywhere in the country.

Karim extends helping hand to MDC-UM

Senator the Honourable Fazal Karim, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training will be extending a helping hand to MDC-UM, Trincity Industrial Estate, Macoya which recently suffered over $80 million dollars in damages after a fire destroyed two warehouses belonging to the popular office furniture supplier, and left over 170 employees without a place of work.

Karim Opens Jobs Store in Gulf City Mall

Senator the Honourable Fazal Karim, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training formally launched the MTEST O.N.E. (One Network for Everyone) Store at Gulf City La Romaine on Saturday May 23rd, 2015 in effort to bring government services closer to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. These services include enrolling or registering for programmes or courses offered by any institution under MTEST, registering for the Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses (GATE), registering for the On-the-Job-Training (OJT) programme, obtaining information on tertiary learning institutions, logging issues from existing students or trainees on any agency or MTEST service and registering for services via TTConnect kiosk.
