Examinations Unit

Overview

The Examinations Unit has the responsibility for:

1. The administration of the following National, Regional and International examinations:

National
Primary Level
  • Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA);
  • National Test;
  • Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE).
Secondary Level
  • National Certificate of Secondary Education (NCSE); and

Regional- Caribbean Examination Council (CXC)
Secondary Level
  • Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC);
  • Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE);
Technical/Vocational Level
  • Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ).

International
Secondary Level
Pearson International (To be discontinued by the MoE, 2017 )
  • International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
  • International Advanced Level (IAL)
Technical Level (Examining Bodies)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA);
  • Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM);
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
  • Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA);
  • Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE)
  • Institute of Management and Information Systems (IMIS);
  • Scholarship Aptitude Test (SAT)
    • University of London (UOL) - (To be discontinued by the MoE, 2017 )
    - Bachelor and Master’s Degree Programmes (e g LLB, LLM …)
