Stakeholders Engagement Continues as Ministers meet with N.P.T.A
The Ministers of Education along with members of the Ministry’s executive team met with the President and members of the National Parent Teacher Association (N.P.T.A), in a continued exercise of stakeholder engagement. The meeting, focused on the vacation repair programme, strengthening the presence of Parent Teacher Associations (PTA) across the national school community and the relationship between the N.P.T.A and the Ministry moving forward.
The Ministers and N.P.T.A president Ms Zena Ramatali engaged in dialogue surrounding the best practice for representing the interests of the largest stakeholder in the education sector, the students. Ms Ramatali went on to reiterate, that her purpose as N.P.T.A president is to ensure that the parents and students whom she represents, receive the best quality teachers, education and facilities necessary for the delivery of an all-round student.
Minister Anthony Garcia assured the team gathered that the Ministry of Education was dedicated to a continued cordial working relationship that will produce the best possible outcomes for all involved. The meeting with the N.P.T.A was a part of a continued effort by the Ministry to ensure that all stakeholders are engaged and are a part of the decision making processes that affect every level of the education sector.
