Ministry Empathises Amid Water Woes

The Ministry of Education today empathises with students, teachers and staff who were affected by the disruption of service to the Caroni Water Treatment Plant. Some schools were forced to close their doors earlier than expected as a result of having no water on the compound. Minister of Education the Honourable Anthony Garcia took the opportunity to thank teachers and students for their commitment to teaching and learning and acknowledges that unforeseen circumstances like today can become hindrances to the learning process. He highlighted that “Days like today are perfect examples as to why we should maximise the time we have in the classroom.” Upon consultation with the Ministry of Works and Transport all schools affected should return to normal operation on Tuesday 11th September, 2018.
