N.E.C. TYPEWRITING (SINGLE SUBJECT) EXAMINATIONS
PRIVATE CANDIDATES

The National Examinations Council invites nationals of Trinidad & Tobago to register for Examinations in the following Single Subject Courses:
- Typewriting – 45 words per minute
- Typewriting – 60 words per minute
Eligibility
1. Private Candidate for this examination is an applicant who is:
– at least 16 years old and receiving tuition in the relevant subject area.
OR
– employed in the relevant area with a minimum of two (2) years’ work experience.
All applicants must provide documentary proof of training or evidence of work experience and may be required to attend an interview at the NEC’s office, Ministry of Education, Tower A, Level 11.
2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETION OF REGISTRATION
The following must be uploaded during registration:
- Electronic Birth Certificate (with affidavit where applicable)
- A valid picture Identification
- National Identification Card
- Driver’s Permit
- Passport
- A letter of Recommendation from present or past employer certifying your work experience
- The official receipt for fees paid ( Please download the Deposit Voucher and complete for payment at any of the District Revenue Offices in Trinidad and Tobago)
Fees for single subject courses are as follows:
- Entry Fee: $25.00
- Fee per subject: $15.00
Application forms that are not completed in accordance with these guidelines will NOT be processed
The deadline date for all applications is Friday 10th November, 2023.
